We hired Mastermind Construction to do several projects on our newly purchased Villa that needed a lot of work. They quickly completed some interior projects that involved adding walls and ceilings and doors to make a bedroom private from the rest of the house. The work was very well done and ready for our painter to finish in short order. The next project was very large – to replace a large tiled pool deck that was severely deteriorated and leaking water into the apartment beneath. Along with this, we demolished an old non functioning pool hot tub and replaced it with a waterfall and added an outdoor shower that required raising the height of an existing concrete wall to make it private from the neighbors. The pool deck was a very difficult job that required removing two layers of old terra cotta tile and adding poured concrete and a new single layer of tile. This also required plumbing and electrical work. Romano came up with the idea of adding drain channels around the perimeter of the pool deck so that rain would not just pour off onto the driveway and collect by the sliding doors as it did in the past. This was a great idea and now the deck dries up quickly after rain and it is also easy to wash the deck now too. Romano and his team are very diligent and won’t stop till problems and challenges are overcome. They are able to handle all aspects of construction including plumbing and electrical. Along the way they helped out with many other smaller projects and were always ready to lend a hand to us whenever we needed to move large and heavy furniture. We would highly recommend Mastermind for any of your renovation needs.

We highly recommend Mastermind Construction. They have performed a number of different tasks for us. From plumbing, to electrical, to woodworking, to tiling, to fence/gate building, to camera installation, to cement pads, to hot tub shipping/delivery, to water abatement and french drains. They have always been very professional and respectful of our home. It’s wonderful to have workmen actually clean up after themselves. They have helped us out in emergency situations and have always been timely and efficient. Very detail oriented and extremely good with all kinds of problem solving. They have a number of tools to help with diagnosing problems without ripping your house apart and also the tools to get the job done smarter and faster. They are also very good with design suggestions and implementation.

There isn’t enough good things I can say about Romano and his team! They remodeled my penthouse from top to bottom, including electrical, plumbing, knocking walls downs, rebuilds, painting, and wallpapering. The stone work he did on my kitchen countertops and backsplash is just magnificent. Romano and his team are kind, loyal, patient, and a lot of fun to be around! They showed up everyday with a smile on their face and were ready to work. I also had a lot of wood work done, Jirvan was so talented and creative in that department. You cannot go wrong with hiring Mastermind construction.

We first met Romano when we were in the middle of dealing with a horrible contractor. Romano was a breath of fresh air. He immediately took over everything and got us up and running so we could rent out our property. He is extremely smart and crafty. Since it’s an island there are often limits to what tools or skilled trades are available. That makes Romano a “Jack of all trades.” He has knowledge in almost any situation and if he doesn’t he will figure it out. He doesn’t give up. Romano has been reliable, honest, hard working and extremely conscientious. He understands the villa rental businesses and the need to respond quickly to all kinds of issues. He researches ideas and tries his best to find solutions. He is extremely pleasant to work with and remembers everything!! Anyone would be in great hands with Mastermind Construction and Romano.
